Julian Sol Jordan is a 24-year-old filmmaker, cinematographer, editor, and musician from Dallas, Texas. His work blends documentary and narrative techniques with a personal, emotional style. With a background in fast, intuitive editing, cinematography, and still photography, he brings clarity and feeling to every project. Julian has experience in feature film editing and production, along with a wide range of work in music videos, branded content, and commercials.
His most recent project, REAL LIFE, is an experimental documentary he crafted completely alone, built from vérité footage, narration, and archival material–a meditation on memory and growing up. It was featured in IndieWire’s Future of Filmmaking initiative, highlighting Julian as one of the new voices reshaping independent cinema. Released independently outside the traditional festival circuit, the film is resonating with Gen-Z audiences. In addition, he is also a part of the indie music duo Sunrise Academy, whose songs have gained a viral following online. Across everything he makes, Julian aims to create work that feels honest, alive, and made with intention.
Julian is currently working on a number of projects, including upcoming films, music videos, and launching Sunrise Academy's debut EP, Big & Strong.
